1. Speed as a design decision. A beautiful site that loads slowly loses visitors before they see any of it. Modern design now starts with performance budgets — optimized images, minimal JavaScript, and layouts that render instantly.

2. Clear, single-purpose pages. Instead of cramming every service onto a busy homepage, businesses are moving toward focused pages that guide a visitor toward one action — book a demo, request a quote, or start a trial.

3. Real content over stock photography. Visitors trust real product screenshots, real team photos and real numbers far more than generic stock imagery. It's a small shift with an outsized effect on conversion.

4. Accessible by default. Larger tap targets, readable contrast, and keyboard-friendly navigation aren't optional extras anymore — they're baseline expectations, and they also happen to improve SEO.

5. Subtle motion, not decoration. A little animation on scroll or hover can guide attention and make an interface feel responsive — but the best sites use it sparingly, in service of clarity rather than spectacle.
